Then Erika cover hot air horrors. In 1989, in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia. Early morning on August 13, passengers of all ages were waiting to board their Hot Air Balloon for a Sunrise tour of the incredible landscape that Alice Springs had to offer. 12 passengers and the pilot board the balloon and begin to take off. Unfortunately, they ascended straight up into the basket of the balloon above. All of a sudden, the balloon has a tear the size of a bed sheet, and shit starts going wrong, really wrong. Then within 51 seconds all 13 people aboard sadly died when the Balloon plummeted the 2,000 feet to the ground. Then Erika takes us to Luxor, no not the Luxor in Vegas but the actual City of Luxor in Egypt. On February 26, 2013 a group of tourists were ready for their Hot Air Balloon ride that would take them to see an aerial view of the Nile River, Temple of Karnak, The Valley of the Kings and other historical attractions. Now the ballooning company Sky Cruises had already been under the radar with past accidents and crashes in their repertoire dating back to 2007. The fall of Hosni Muburak, the Egyptian military and political leader who served as the 4th President of Egypt, led to a revolution, which was said to be the cause or result of such disregard for safety measures on tourism activities. There were a total of 20 people aboard the balloon, including the pilot. Only 2 minutes later, the balloon catches on fire and the balloon explodes. Out of the 20 passengers only 2 of them survived.
