Then Erika covers the Boston molasses disaster of 1919 and the 2013 Honolulu molasses spill. A huge tank filled with molasses, burst open and flooded everything in the surrounding area around Commercial Street in Boston, Massachusetts. It was a huge wave with highest point reaching a whopping 25 feet high. It took out most everything in its way and with the temps in the area at the time, it started to harden and people and animals were having a hard time getting out of the way. Many people got stuck in the sticky mess and rescuers were having a hard time trying to save them. Sadly 21 people and horses lost their lives and 150 people were injured.
