This week Erika covers the murder suicide of Dorothy Stratten and her deranged husband Paul Snider. Dorothy was a beautiful, shy and sweet young girl of only 17 when Paul met her at her local Dairy Queen. He knew he could make her a star, so he convinced Dorothy to send nude photos to Playboy Magazine and she immediately caught the eye of Hugh Hefner and the whole Playboy team. Dorothy would gain the title of Playmate of the Month and then the title of Playmate of the year. This notoriety led her straight into acting as well, where she would land role after role in her first year of being in LA. Paul couldn’t handle that he was getting left behind and that she didn’t NEED him anymore. Dorothy would end up falling in love with another man, Peter Bogdanovich the Director of her biggest movie ‘They All Laughed”.
